Enid, OK – “There is nothing more important than the safety of our students and staff,” said Enid Public Schools Superintendent Darrell Floyd. Within the past year, school districts all over the nation have been searching for ways to increase their level of security. In addition to constructing new secure entrance vestibules and facility improvements, EPS decided to implement Ident-A-Kid’s Visitor Management for the new school year. The software system allows the district to quickly account for people entering and existing buildings using an ID sign-in process. Visitors will be required to have their state-issued driver’s license or ID scanned for a security screening, which should reveal whether or not they are on the National Sexual Offender Registry. If the screening comes back with a match, the person won’t be allowed in the school.
